Fresnel Free Imaging Mode

An "on-line screen " recording demonstrating FFIM in near real time.

Fresnel Free Imaging Mode (FFIM) is a spatially and temporally mediated illumination mode that effectively removes Fresnel diffraction contrast created by diffraction from the condensor apertures for CTEM. The mode is implemented by using Python to dynamically change the illumination which effectively removes the Fresnel contrast. It requires Python installed on the instrument as well as access to Manufacturer's Python libraries which access the control of the instrument. An example of this mode and the source code to implement this is found herein. * Note: the Instrument specific Python Libraries to implement FFIM must be obtained from the microscope manufacturer, as they are licensed code
