Diamond Film and Crystal

This series of images begins with atomic
resolution images of diamond films, where you can
see the cubic diamond crystal lattice. As we
progress downward in magnification you can
see planar defects in the diamond film. At
low magnification we switch to images of small
microdiamonds which fortuitously have grown a familiar
shape.
