Sliding, lifting, rolling, and pivoting are amoung the
many processes we use to translated items. Pivoting an object about
a location is important parts of our engineering for thousands of years. This
is one type of pivot point that allows a technologically
important mechanical device to operate continuously for years on end,
even though it is very small!
